“Flash! PrEP in Europe” now in Cyprus

A new prevention tool for HIV exists and your input will help better understand its usefulness in Cyprus. The tool is PrEP (Pre Exposure Prophylaxis) and it is already available in several countries worldwide (France, Belgium, Germany, United-States, Canada, Kenya, Thailand and South Africa amongst others). The survey was conducted simultaneously in twelve European countries and is now being conducted in Cyprus.

Constitutional General Meeting

On Thursday 10.05.2017 at 18:30 the Extraordinary Constitutional General Meeting of the Association will take place, in order to amend the Articles of Association so as to incorporate the new mandatory provisions arising from the new Associations and Foundations and other Related Matters Law of 2017 (104(I)/2017).

The venue of the meeting is at the University of Nicosia, Millennium building, M.115.

A draft mark-up version of the Articles of Association will be notified to our members soon with a follow-up email.

Discussion regarding constitutional changes

Dear Members,

Following last year's adoption of the new law regarding NGOs in Cyprus, the organisation's Management Board would like to inform the members of Accept – LGBT Cyprus, that it intends to convene a Constitutional Assembly within the year for the adoption into the Constitution of any amendments required by the new law.

We believe that this opportunity also gives the possibility for members to examine any further changes that they believe may be needed for the update of our Constitution.

Accept LGBT Cyprus marks International Transgender Day of Visibility

On March 31, Accept LGBT Cyprus marks the annual International Transgender Day of Visibility, a year in which the human rights organization aims to secure the passing of a law that would allow trans Cypriots to change their ID documents to reflect their true gender identity.
