Research: Experiences of LGBT people in Cyprus

accept-LGBT Cyprus, in collaboration with the Cyprus Family Planning Association (CFPA) are conducting another important research project to document the experiences of LGBT persons and fight discrimination. It is essential for our work to systematically collect testimonials, in order to document the extent of discrimination based on sexuality orientation or gender identity in Cyprus. Therefore, we will conduct focus groups with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transsexual (LGBT) people living in Cyprus to record their experiences.We are inviting members of the LGBT community who have personally experienced any form of violence, discrimination or harassment because of their sexual orientation or their gender identity, to participate in focus groups where they will have the opportunity to share these experiences and how they coped with these experiences, and thus contribute in combating all kinds of discrimination against LGBT people.All the information provided will remain anonymous and confidential.
