Accept-LGBT Cyprus regrets to announce that on Friday afternoon, 21 November 2014, Cyprus Police proceeded with the confiscation of the photo exhibition “Correction” of the Greek Trans Activist Paola Revenioti that was organised as part of a series of events relating to Transgender Day of Remembrance which is held internationally on the 20th November.

Every year on November 20th, International Transgender Day of Remembrance commemorates those who died after falling victims to transphobia and hatred by members of our community who cannot accept gender non-conforming people. It is also a day on which the international community has the opportunity to highlight the problems faced by the transgender community on a daily basis.

CYPRUS TO HOST ILGA-EUROPE'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN 2016

The members of the Brussels’ based International LGBTI Association (ILGA-Europe) unanimously approved today in Riga the proposal filed by Accept – LGBT Cyprus claiming the organisation of the Annual Conference of the Association for 2016 for Cyprus.

Based on this it is expected that around 450 people from about 50 countries, including ministers, politicians, academics, activists and representatives of the European Union and the United Nations will meet in Cyprus in October 2016 to promote LGBTI rights in Europe and beyond.

SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS FOR “INDEPENDENT EVENTS ORGANISED BY A THIRD PARTY” FOR THE CYPRUS PRIDE FESTIVAL 2015

Τhe 2nd Cyprus Pride Festival  will be held in May 2015 and will culminate in the Pride Parade, on Saturday, 6th of June 2015, in Nicosia.

Accept - LGBT Cyprus invites all interested parties to organize events that will run parallel to the Festival and whose objective should be:

a)   To promote the visibility of LGBT persons and the problems that they face, by producing an “Independent Event Organised by a Third Party”

 and / or

b)     To raise funds for the Festival by producing an “Independent Fundraising Event Organised by a Third Party”.

All sanctioned Independent Events Organized by Third Parties parallel to the Festival will be included in the official program of the Pride Festival. 

All Interested parties must submit their full proposals for events / performances / exhibitions by 31st October 2014.

Πολύχρωμες Συναντήσεις - Τρίτη 16 Σεπτεμβρίου 2014

Μετά από τις δικές σας απαντήσεις (μέσω των ερωτηματολογίων) Οι Πολύχρωμες Συναντήσεις αλλάζουν συχνότητα έτσι θα πραγματοποιούνται δύο φορές τον μήνα.

Θα συντονίζουν η Πατρίτσια Φαίδωνος και ο Κώστας Κωνσταντίνου

Οι Πολύχρωμες Συναντήσεις επίσης ξανοίγονται και σε οικογένειες, φίλους και συγγενείς σε ΛΟΑΤ πρόσωπα που θέλουν να μοιραστούν τις εμπειρίες τους μαζί μας.
Θα κρατηθεί η πρώτη Τετάρτη κάθε μήνα αλλά προστίθεται και η τρίτη Τρίτη κάθε μήνα.
