Cyprus Police Returns Paola Revenioti's Pictures to Accept-LGBT Cyprus and Withdraws Charges of Publication of Lewd Content

Cyprus Police have returned on the 9thof January 2015, the photographs confiscated from Paola Revenioti’s exhibition «Correction». The exhibition was organised by Accept- LGBT Cyprus and was held on the occasion of the international Transgender Day of Remembrance.

 

For the same case, the President of the Organisation, Costa Gavrielides, was officially accused for “Publication of Lewd Content", charges that were also dropped following a decision of the Law Office of the Republic.

PRIDE! An Exhibition to mark the Human Rights Day

Accept-LGBT Cyprus marks the Human Rights Day with the exhibition PRIDE! which will include selected photographs from the 1st Cyprus Pride Day that took place last May, as well as artwork related to the subject by Cypriot artists.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on Wednesday, 10 December 2014, at 20:30, at the Phytorio (Visual Artists Association), situated in the Nicosia Municipal Garden.

Every year on November 20th, International Transgender Day of Remembrance commemorates those who died after falling victims to transphobia and hatred by members of our community who cannot accept gender non-conforming people. It is also a day on which the international community has the opportunity to highlight the problems faced by the transgender community on a daily basis.
